Let’s Talk Business – Gwynedd Business Week 2010

Mint Factory at Gwynedd Busines Week Technium Cast

Mint Factory represented by Anna and me attended  “Let’s Talk Business” seminars  that were held in Technium CAST, Bangor as a part of Gwynedd Business Week 2010

It wasn’t easy to get up at 6.30 to get there at 8 but it was worth it :)

The presentations were excellent and the food – delecious!

Unfortunately, we had to skip 2 last seminars , but still it was worth to be there. Here is a brief of what we were listening to today.

Strategic marketing seminar from the Chartered Institute of Marketing

The first Presentation by Dr Jonathan Deacon from University of Wales Newport Business School was top of the league in every aspect – tons of useful knowledge and lots of fun at the same time!  It was focused around winning marketing strategies based on target groups. Honestly, I enjoyed every minute of this presentation. Thanks to that my mind got filled with the new ideas- what an inspiring speech it was… Also,  I was happy to learn that Dr Deacon is as big VW classics fan as I am:). Thanks Jonathan.

Taking Advantage of the Social Media Phenomenon

It was a Social Media master class  by  Alun John from MarketingTom Media. This presentation was the most related to Mint Factory’s field of interest. It was full of examples and has given me a valuable reference point for comparing SEM (Search Engine Marketing) and SMM (Social Media Marketing) techniques. Thanks for sharing the useful tips and knowledge Alun!

Marketing for the busy business masterclass

3rd semminar  by Wyn Robertsfrom AQUA Marketing Ltd were also very inspiring and  full of marketing tips and techniques supported by Wyn’s extensive experience and real life examples.

Meet The Media

As it says on the tin. Panel discussion with media representatives from BBC, Heart FM, Cearnarfon & Denbigh Herald, Daily Post, Word of Mouth. I am happy to learn a few tips how to speak with “media people” and what do they expect in terms of getting free media coverage. Nice stuff.
