The Face of Your Company
The first time they meet you….
As it is in everyday life, the same it is in business – first impression matters! Your potential clients judge your company instantly from the first moments they get in touch with your brand. Exactly the same way as people judge each other when they meet for the first time. This judgment is subconscious and sometimes it ‘s wrong, however in business world you don’t get second chance to prove that you are better than it looks like. Your potential customers go somewhere else as soon as they give your company a label “unprofessional”.
Unfortunately (or fortunately), you don’t have a power over people’s minds, so you are unable to make them like whatever you do. However, there is a lot you can do to impress your potential clients. You want them to feel like they finally found a professional company to take care of them, don’t you?
The easiest way to achieve this is to improve the way you deal with people when they first visit your company. Think about, how people get in touch with your business and improve these processes.
- If they call you, please make sure a person who answers the phone has a nice and helpful attitude and know everything that should know about your business
- If you are a retailer and people just walk in to your store, make sure it’s tidy, modern and your staff work in a dedicated and professional manner
- If you get your customers thanks to sales people, make sure you employ the sales people who do their job well – nobody likes if they are pushy!
- If the first point of contact is your website, it has to look professional, gives all the information and be up to date. Visual comunication is extremly important, so be focused on getting a clear, but stunning web design.
In the age of Web 2.0. technology most marketing should be done online. Take an advantage of tools that are available to you like blogs, social networks, videos and audios. All of these help with effective and constant comunication with your target groups and will build your company’s image as a professional and modern one. Take care of everything that gets published about your company. Be transparent. Be helpful. Be professional. Remember – details matters, so take care of them!
